program/ project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation purposes.
 Provide Support for allotment of annual Education Program budget
 Evaluate and analyse financial and supply reports to ensure appropriate expenditures are within
allotments and advise management;
 Analyses program implementation reports, evaluates against established programmes, recommend
plans of action; Report outcome of analysis and propose corrective actions;
 Prepare tables graph and other statistical data; Assist in the preparation and planning of Country
Program;

 Select and compiles training and orientation materials for programme implementation; including donor

Conduct a feasibility / research study in Liberia for “Quality Educators for All’’ project in which result from the
research study will set up a pilot project in Liberia that builds bridges between formal and non-formal education,
by providing an adapted programme for unqualified formal and non-formal teachers to be trained and supported
to become qualified teachers, with a clear competency profile, and an updated teacher-training curriculum that
integrates the teaching of basic literacy and innumeracy with schooling in life and IT skills, gender equality, active
citizenship, HIV-Aids prevention, anti-violence.
Local Consultant-for Rapid Appraisal (RA) of Post-Conflict Impacts and Needs of Girls in Liberia, AURORA, a
USAID sponsored project: July 2006
 Prepare schedule and budget for logistics and support the commencement of appraisal; Implement
appraisal design and data-collection; Identification of case-studies and narratives; and
 Support the preparation of Rapid Appraisal report and recommendations.
Assistant Project Officer Girls Education-United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), Aug. 2004-Dec. 2006
 Supervise and support the establishment of a Girl’s Education Unit at the Ministry of Education;
 Support and Work with the Ministry of Education to develop and implement a national policy on Girls
Education (GE) in Liberia and Maintain close communication on GE activities with major UN partners,
including WFP and UNHCR, and through these partnerships, implement special assignments related to
Girls Education (GE) as requested by the Supervising Project Officer;
 Review project budget submitted by partners for implementations and advice management
 Provide technical assistance to MOE in development of Country Education Plans.

Provide basic equipment, technical expertise and logistical support to Counties and Districts Education
Officer’s (EO’s) at central and county level in seven counties of UNICEF coverage;
Support the inclusion of Life skills teaching as part of “C level” program support the training of
Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) teachers; and supervise the distribution of life skills materials to
public schools;
Review all projects for assessment and monitoring strategies in including girls and women in both the
process and the outcome of the project and develop realistic goals for increasing gender parity in
UNICEF/MOE ALP schools in Liberia and recommend effective strategies to further these goals,
including enrolment initiative;
Ensuring that girls are in equal numbers for all UNICEF/Ministry of Education (MOE) Accelerated
Learning Program (ALP) School ensuring the affirmative selection of women for inclusion at Teacher
Training Institutes at the ‘C Certificate level;
Participate in a cross sectoral advocacy within UNICEF to ensure girls participation and consideration in
the health, Water / Sanitation and child protection Sections;
Develop monitoring tool to measure Education For All (EFA) number in the ALP Schools and in
additional areas of the country as indicated.
