CIVIL TRAINING & SERVICES Priority Assignment Guideline TECHNICAL SERVICES PROCESS Appendix 1 to TCOM 4.2 The Priority Assignments Guideline is provided to ensure standard reporting of deficiency status within the CAE training network. The goal is to correct the discrepancies within the target resolution timeframe listed. The Estimated Completion Date (ECD) of each discrepancy must be updated on a regular basi s by the technical staff. The ECD must be realistic and accurate, a discrepancy with a past due ECD is unacceptable. Definitions Training Discrepancy: A discrepancy identifying items requiring corrective act ion and impacts the traini ng of crew s or affects qualification of the device. Target Resolution Timeframe: A target timeframe established by CAE to meet client expectations Maximum Allowable Correction Period: A period in which a Training discrepancy must be corrected to meet NAA requirements. If the timeframe will be exceeded the discrepancy must be reported IAW TCOM 5.3. Maintenance Discrepancy: A discrepancy identifying items requiring corrective action but does not impact the training of crews. Correction Period: A period in which a maintenance discrepancy must be corrected to meet CAE requirements. Workaround: An operational event which causes the cr ew or instructor to utilize a n alternate means to successfully complete the training.
