THE PRE-MUNDANE
CREATIONS OF GOD
In discussing the issue of preparing to get married
to one’s life partner, it becomes pertinent that we
look at the procedure the God Almighty used to
create things needful for the peaceful, nonbreaking process of the world system since the
inception of life on earth. I have seen many who
desire and ignorantly so, covert the success of
others who have made it big before them without
minding what they did, or did not do in their walk
towards their success.
Zebedee’s wife, the mother of two of Jesus’
disciples wanted the glory of the Messiah and
boldly went to the Master to request for a special
place in the kingdom of Jesus Christ. She
specifically asked that her two sons should occupy

both the left and right hands of Christ in His
kingdom.
But Jesus answered and said, “Ye know not what
ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup that I am
about to drink?” (Matt. 20:20 -22)
Many desired the power of the throne, without
being prepared to pay the price associated with
that exalted position. Peter said to Jesus before
He was arrested in a moment of carelessness and
reckless abandon, ‘we can, we are ready to follow
you till the end’, yet before the cock crows they
have denied their Master three times like Peter. If
they had arrested Peter alongside Jesus, Peter
would most probably have been made the true
rock on which the Church would gladly have
rested on his little shoulders. His desire to
maintain his leadership status quo as the number
one disciple was punctuated because of ignorance,
poor intelligence and faulty reasoning made it
possible for him to deny his Master when it
mattered most.

It is not sufficient to desire to have a great
relationship, we need to know the deep workings
of God’s creative strategy and be ready to mirror
His model. Only then can we lay claim to God’s
victory and boldly affirm, “we will not fail in this
honourable cause!”
The key to eliciting God’s strategy in creating
relationship is to be in association with Him. It is
in this associated communion we can get clear,
unmistakable cues about the workings of the
mind of God as exposed in the word of God and
what sort of strategies He used to sustain the
world since creation till now. The earth
population is growing and still counting yet the
earth is not shaking as a result of the weight of its
matter.
The simplest way to find out is to ask the right
questions. You will agree with me that there is
nothing we ask Him that He would not do for us,
that our joy may be full. I am going to run through
some of the things He showed me with you. If you

meet a great cook, you cannot learn from him by
asking him to explain to you orally how he
prepares his delicacies. Most times they don’t
know exactly how they make those tasty dishes.
They do them unconsciously. By following the
cook into the kitchen through the process, taking
note of the ingredients and the quantity of such
ingredients that is added to the meal, you will
then have a recipe you can duplicate later in
future. The best way to learn is not to observe
only, but in doing the learned. I believe that when
we do, we shall experience God’s success in our
relationships.
Every great achievement in life follows this
pattern. We shall try the pattern God used to
create the earth. First, He created some things,
persons, elements, processes before he began to
issue the creative order for other things we read
in the first few chapters in the book of Genesis.
What does it mean that He created things before
the world was made? Yes, the Bible has records of

things that God created or caused to exist before
even the heavens and the earth were called into
existence. Let us look at the following and see
how we can recreate them in our little world of
marital relationships. It does not make sense to
do these things but wise people knew that God’s
foolishness is wiser than the wisdom of the wisest
man.
1. The Word (Logos)
Genesis 1:1 says, “In the Beginning…” The word
‘in’ connotes a point within an area or space. It
means within the shape of something; into
something; contained within or inside something.
Anyhow you look at the word; you will see that it
has to do with an already existing entity or
containing physical surroundings.
Who was this pre-existing entity? A very simple
answer is found in the book of Rev 3:14, “And to
the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These
things saith the Amen, the faithful and true

witness, the beginning of the creation of God.” He
was referred to directly as THE BEGINNING. It
means whoever this passage refers to is the first
cause made available before the world was
created. It means that which is first; the first state;
the commencement of all things; the only
entrance into being.
Mighty things from that small beginning grew the
rudiments, the raw materials for everything you
see and you will still see long after we are all gone.
It means that before He created the heavens and
the earth, the Almighty God was in contact with
The Beginning. It was inside the Beginning that he
began to create all other things. With this
understanding, we can rephrase the first sentence
in the book of Genesis to read thus, “Inside the
Beginning God created the heavens and the
earth.”
Certainly, the above statement made sense. It is
easier to understand why God will say, “Let there
be…” and it came to be because that which God

calls out already existed inside the Word. The
Word need only answer to God’s command by
pushing out the creations.
“I am the beginning and the end.”1 The challenge
with the natural man generally is that we do not
know the truth about ourselves, and do not want
to know; and we are equally ignorant of the rich
stores of blessedness that God has bestowed on
all those who will find it worthwhile not only to
hear but to do what the Word bids them.
The Beginning introduced Himself more clearly
when His earthly forerunner, John the Baptist,
wrote in his book John 1:1 – 3. “In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. The same was in the beginning
with God. All things were made by him; and
without him was not anything made that was

made. In him was life; and the life was the light of
men.”
As speech reveals the hidden thoughts of men, so
does The Word speak into existence the unseen
power of the Almighty creative God. God said and
it was done by The Word. Christ was the Word
that created. The Spoken Word, Jesus Christ, was
made flesh. The Jesus Christ we preach was the
beginning in Him was all created. He alone
created time which defined man’s dating system,
and thereafter He stepped out of time, and that
makes Him who is before time eternal and divine.
Christ is the medium or channel by which God
goes forth in creating divine intervention and
redemption.
The Word preceded the process of creation of
human nature. The life of God deposited in the
human nature of Jesus, was made manifest when
the Word became flesh, that we might readily
copy its pattern into our lives. The light in Christ
illuminates our pathway to meaningful
relationships. When we receive Christ’s life, we
shine. No man can create a heaven and earth in

his marriage without first having a life in The
Beginning, Jesus Christ.
A marriage consummated without making Jesus
Christ the beginning of that relationship will
experience death. There are two possible ways of
getting married. A wife is either found by you or
somebody finds the wife out for you. Samson
found his wife. Esau found his wife. Isaac’s wife
was brought into being by his father. Jacob found
Rebecca while Leah was given to him by his father
in law. He exemplified the two scenarios.
Exodus 21:1-6
1 Now these are the judgments which thou shalt
set before them.
2 If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall
serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for
nothing.
3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by
himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go
out with him. (First Scenario)
4 If his master have given him a wife, and she
have born him sons or daughters; the wife and
her children shall be her master's, and he shall go
out by himself. (Second Scenario)

5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my
master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out
free:
6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges;
he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the
door post; and his master shall bore his ear
through with an aul; and he shall serve him
forever.
Does it not make sense that whosoever has the
responsibility of finding and marrying your wife
for you have the authority over your wife and
subsequently your family? If your finding was
influenced by God like in the case of Adam, God
has the burden of justifying, protecting,
preserving and providing for your family. He will
fight your battles and clean your mess. Psalm
33:12 says “Blessed is the nation whose God is the
LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for
his own inheritance.” You will most assuredly find
a good inheritance in God. But if your finding was
influenced by carnality and human knowledge,

the rule of flesh will bear. Because any union
birthed in darkness will be exposed to the devil,2
the master of darkness and his agents who came
to steal kill and destroy will bear rule in your
family until you cry to God to change your name
and adopt you in the beloved as His own.
Only in the light of God’s Word can you find the
path to lasting relationships. I have seen covenant
carrying people marry outside the perfect will of
God and expect their marriages not to have
unplanned challenges. If it is not in the will of God,
it is in the will of the devil. Remember that the
master calls the shots.
The Bible says what has light and darkness in
common? Nothing! “Be ye not unequally yoked
together with unbelievers: for what fellowship
hath righteousness with unrighteousness and
what communion hath light with darkness?”3

Can two walk together except they be agreed?
There can never be an agreement between you as
the light and an unbeliever who is in darkness.
“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye
light in the Lord: walk as children of light”4
Whoever walks contrary to the truism of the
Word will have unprecedented crisis lurking at the
corner of his pathway. Let Christ in, and you have
instantly the right to call the rest things in life to
fall in line with the Father as the Master. Your life
will be a testimony and your marriage a-praiseprovoking offering to God.
We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
an holy nation, a peculiar people; that we should
shew forth the praises of him who hath called you
out of darkness into his marvellous light”5
The Creative Word Pre-existed. The words of
Genesis, "God said," initiated the energetic divine

command responsible for the magnificent events
of the six days of Creation found in Genesis
chapter one. Each command came charged with a
creative energy that transformed a planet without
form, and void into a paradise. If your marriage is
without form and void, speak the Word, and it
shall be done; let the Lamb command, and it shall
stand fast.6 Truly, the worlds of outstanding
relationships were framed by the unchanging
word of God.
This creative Word was not dependent upon your
family background, your level of education or any
other preexisting matter. "By faith we understand
that the universe was formed at God's command,
so that what is seen was not made out of what
was visible."7 To create a long lasting relationship,
do it inside the beginning who is Jesus Christ, the
Word made flesh.
