Courageous Person Poster Project
For this project, you will choose a person of your choice to
research and learn about. After your research, you will create a poster
about your person that illustrates who they are. Please read the
information carefully below as there are certain things you must
include on your poster. All posters are due by ________________.
Poster Requirements
Your poster must include the following:
1. The name of your person
2. Their birthdate
3. What do they do?
4. What are they famous for?
5. Explanation of why you chose this person
6. A list of 5 things someone may not know about your person
Your posters must be colorful, show effort and creativity. I am
giving you a week to complete this project. Posters are due on Friday,
no exceptions! A week is plenty of time to get this project done and to
do a good job.
This project will be worth 40 points and the breakdown of what
makes up your grade is listed below:
 Name, birthdate, what they do: 6 points
 Explanation of why you chose them: 14 points
 5 things someone may not know about them: 10 points
 Color, creativity & effort: 10 points
PRESENTATION:
In this project, the second part is the presentation. You will need
to present your poster and give an explanation on your courageous
person. Remember this section is a grade on its own. Please
follow the breakdown and rubric to know the score.
Level 4 in all categories (eye contact, clarity, volume, body
language) = 90-100%
Level 3 in all categories (eye contact, clarity, volume, body
language) = 80-89%
Level 2 in all categories (eye contact, clarity, volume, body
language) = 70-79%
Level 1 in all categories (eye contact, clarity, volume, body
language) = 60-69%
Level 4 = 10 points
Level 3 = 8 points
Level 2 = 6 points
Level 1 = 4 points
