FLAGSHIP TECHNICAL FEST OF MIT-WPU
What is Texephyr?
Texephyr is a National Level Annual Technical Fest. It is the flagship technical Fest of MIT- WPU.
Organized and managed by students of three departments together - Computer Science,
Mechanical, and Electronics & Communication, Texephyr provides a wide range of events that
ensure practical exposures to participants and give insight into the current industry
requirements. Here, the students can showcase both their co-curricular and extra-curricular
skills. These activities allow students from Pune and colleges across Pune, to present their
skills and help develop their personalities. Events such as Algoholics, Codestorm,
PowerPuffCoders, etc. are crowd pullers. Also, the hands-on workshops were conducted to
enhance the practical knowledge by the real-life application of skills.
About a thousand student participants and more than 25 organizations have contributed to
the success of the event.
TEXEPHYR is an amalgamation of two words – Technology and Zephyr. It signifies the change
brought upon by innovative minds. Texephyr has always adopted themes based on the need of
the hour. Texephyr ‘21 was all about finding order emerging from the chaos and hence we had
branded it with the theme ‘Order in Chaos’.

SOCIAL INITIATIVES
Aligning with the theme ‘Order in Chaos', students of
Texephyr took various social initiatives.
Waste management has always been a global problem.
We, at Texephyr, believe that small starts compound to
greater results. We partnered with Dream For Life
Foundation to contribute and act towards this problem.
While recycling is becoming an urgent need in our
day-to-day life, waste management is the need of the
hour. Students of Texephyr collaborated with Dream
Life Foundation to spread awareness about this issue.
We created ECO BRICKS from the plastic wastes
collected by Texephyr Member from their surroundings.
Volunteers from the foundation conducted a workshop
on how we can recycle and reuse plastic waste from
our surroundings.
