1 ARCHITECTURE OF THE PROPOSED SOLUTIONS
For 24 years, Assmann Telecom recorders have had a reputation for proven robustness,
enabling extremely high availability, low MTBF and a 20-year guarantee of longevity.
This architecture is based on the Assmann Flex Recorder solution for the capture of
analogue, digital, IP and radio telephone communications and their management in IP.
The Assmann Flex Recorder is a product of Assmann Telecom, designer and integrator of
recorders since 1996.

2.2
ASSMANN FLEX RECORDER SERVER
In a generic way, the server acquires the streams and their tamper-proof scans as well as
storing the records both on the internal Raid 1 controller, on the RDX system for security
backup and on a NAS server dedicated to the streams of the associated site. In this way
the recordings are already secured and autonomous for reliable storage and possible
replay..

2.2.1 ACQUISITION DES FLUX
The role of the Assmann Flex Recorder is to receive in passive mode and therefore not to
block the flows of the various media to be recorded and to store them locally. This storage
is carried out in the main buffer of the recorder, itself stored on a double internal hard disk.
This storage is secure, making the recordings tamper-proof, regardless of the input stream
(analog, digital, ISDN, DECT or IP for services such as GVR (Radio Voice Manager),
telephone sets or E1).
Once the first recording is made to the hard drives, it is automatically duplicated to the
internal RDX systems and then to the NAS Archive Servers.
From this point on, the recording is available. It is therefore architecturally accepted that
the server is completely autonomous. It records continuously.
It should be noted that in this configuration, the stream recovery is in passive mode,
therefore non-intrusive and non-blocking (the server can be stopped, communications
remain established and functional) it records in parallel

2.2.3 Automatic Triggering of the Recording
The recording is triggered by detecting the voice on the line in comparison with an
adjustable threshold and triggered by picking up the handset.
The different recording triggering modes, configurable by channel, are :
- Voice detection (with possibility to choose the level)
- Lift the handset,
- In continuous mode, (permanent)
- Selectable per channel.
- By network IP order (open protocol)
Start-up time: less than 60 milliseconds.
Hold time after end of modulation: adjustable (VOX tempo)
Attack time: 20 ms for input variation from -35 dBm to O dBm
Drop-out time: 200 ms for an input variation from O dB to -35 dBm.

2.2.4 ANNOTATIONS
It is possible to make annotations on the recordings. These annotations can be used as
search criteria as long or short comment fields are in the database criteria.
By clicking on "note", a window opens
where you can enter information about the
current call. It is possible to leave
comments of up to 256 characters.
Save by clicking OK or Cancel.
2.2.5 IMMEDIATE REPLAY
Our recording solutions are natively equipped with playback devices.
o Listening in "Live" mode via the web Interface or live on the recorder with
headphones.
o Playback in open protocol mode - API (Allows via a third party computer
system to replay the recordings once the communication is over.
o Plays back via web interface all completed communications.

2.2.6 AUTOMATIC BACKUP (saving)
The server uses IP, digital, analog, or ISDN acquisition cards for recording. These flows are
then digitized to become unforgeable to be stored on the internal buffer in Raid 1, 5 or 10
with a capacity of 1TB minimum extensible.
The server is dimensioned to record in ratio 1 erlang the entirety of the recordings and this
on all the perimeters covered.
2.2.7 STORAGE AND ARCHIVING
Once the first recording is made and stored on the internal disk, it is automatically
duplicated to the RDX disk and/or a client NAS server

2.2.8 HEARING QUALITY
For analogue signals
• Input sensitivity: -40 to+ 0 dBm (15m V at 2.5V) for nominal input current.
o Distortion: less than 3% for 1kHz nominal signal output.
o Signal to noise ratio : better than 40dB.
o Elimination of crosstalk between adjacent channels : better than 60dB.
o Compensation dynamics: 35dB change in input translates a recording
signal varying by up to 3dB.
o Bandwidth : from 300 Hz to 7400 Hz : level of ± 3dB
o Input impedance: high impedance > 20 kohms
For IP and ISDN signals
The digital channels are recorded without change and compression to ensure that
maximum quality is maintained.
The Assmann Flex Recorder is designed for continuous operation 24 hours a day, 365 days
a year.

2.3.2 New User Profiles 2020
Access to the recording system is password-protected, so that an unauthorised person
cannot stop the recording or steal the storage medium. It is possible to create as many
different user profiles per recorder up to a maximum of 500 per system.
Once the initialization of the application is complete, the
"Login" window is displayed.
Enter the user name and password assigned to access the
recorder.

The configuration of the different user profiles does not allow any other person to access
the records. Access rights are configured by the administrator.
Access to the recording system is secured by password and according to the dedicated
profile (Administrator, User...).
The playback and export of archives is therefore carried out via the application of the
recorder by profile parameterized according to the desired restrictions.

3.3.3 MANAGEMENT OF AUTHENTIFICATION BY ACTIVE DIRECTORY
(PROJECT OPTION)
Active Directory (AD) authentication is included in the proposed solution.
An Active Directory contains information about all "Objects" in a domain, such as users,
shared folders or files, computers and other equipment.
It allows all this information to be stored and used to authenticate the different
users/devices that are part of the domain and thus enable or disable them to access the
different shared resources.
All these authentication and authorization decisions are made by the "Domain Controller".
Thus the authentication process becomes :
The individual objects in the area are grouped together. This means that users, for
example, can belong to one or more groups.
In order to manage the access authorizations to the records and to the different
functionalities of the proofreading interface, the Assmann software uses the "Account
Model" principle.
Indeed, when using the AD, the recorder accounts are created automatically by the
system. The model account gives administrators the flexibility to decide what rights the
users belonging to the group of the same name will have on the recorder.

Thus at the first connection of a user the authentication becomes :
Once the user has been automatically created by the system, the administrator can, if he
or she wishes, change the rights of the accounts individually.
User accounts linked to a DA account, as well as classic accounts, are identified by the
system, so these two types of accounts can coexist within the same recorder. The
registrant can therefore use two authentication processes depending on the type of
account :

SEARCH
2.4.1 TAGGING OF RECORDINGS
In our solution all records have a unique number for the whole solution allowing you to
retrieve any record on the server at any time.
2.4.2 TIME SYNCHRONISATION by MASTER CLOCK
Clock synchronization by the NTP service is provided by the LAN administration.
2.4.3 Multi CRITERIA RESEARCH
All the usual criteria are included in the basic package: date, time, caller/caller number,
comments, sources, record ID, etc...
Record search functionality can be performed on all record data index fields.
The software for searching, replaying and exporting messages has user-friendly and
intuitive French-language functions.
The design of the Assmann solution includes a high quality ergonomic Human Machine
Interface (HMI) and allows simple and efficient operation. The display of all functions,
whether on site or remotely, is included.
Searching and playing back a recording (archive) does not prevent the current
recording.
Password-protected multi-level access is required. These accesses can be programmed
by the main manager (parameterization, access rights to channels and time reversal
possibilities, export rights ...).

2.5
REPLAY
The application under Windows server 2016/2019 installed on multimedia PC type replay
stations, allows the playback of archived recordings on external media (RDX or USBC).
These replay stations are connected to the recorder(s) via a LAN/WAN network.
The replay of communications on the recorder's hard disk or on an archive is done without
disturbing the recording of current communications.
Our solutions allow multiple local and network listening without disturbing the recordings.

Listening in "Live" mode via the internet via the web or live on the
recorder with headphones.
We allow immediate replay access to lines by configuration, so operators can access all
lines and channels assigned to their stations.

2.6.1 ACCESSIBILITY- LOCAL OR REMOTE STATION -
For maintenance: Our architecture allows remote access to the Assmann Flex Recorder
from the voice communications reader which can be easily done through software such
as VNC, or other customer certified specifics.
For administration: The recorder can be operated both locally and remotely via a
connection to the Assmann Flex Recorder web interface on a web browser by entering
the IP address or network name of the Assmann Flex Recorder.

2.6.2 REMOTE MANAGEMENT TOOLS
The application under Windows environment installed on multimedia PC type replay
stations (PC of your supply), allowing the playback of recordings archived on external
supports (CD, DVD, RDX or USB).

Access to this tool is protected by a login and password defined by the administrator.

The configuration of the channels concerns the recording mode, (Continuous, voice,
externalized...) and the compression of messages.
The technical configuration also allows you to adjust the parameters of each channel
(input port) to fine-tune the settings according to the quality of the audio signal received.
All channel configuration data is displayed and can be modified if
necessary.

MAINTENANCE - MANAGEMENT OF DEGRADED MODES
The station is equipped with a self-diagnostic system to assist with fault analysis and

The implementation of supervision of recording systems can be integrated into your SNMP
management tools.
The parameterization steps will be done jointly with your services.
Each system will be supervised by the operational status of its components:

- Non-saturation of hard disks
The services corresponding to the programs related to the recorders will be identified and
will be sent to you for their integration to your SNMP trace manager.

WEB WATCHDOG ASSMANN alarm SYSTEM
Watchdog is a recorder control application, an independent module that allows you not
to be impacted in case of malfunction of the recording software.

internal archiving on a latest-generation RDX

Each unit can store more than a year's worth
of communications.
This RDX disk archiving gives the possibility to
make copies of recordings on external media
(CD, DVD, or USB) via the workstation for

Short- and medium-term archiving is done internally on the dual hard drive, medium- and
long-term archiving is done on the RDX drives and on the NAS (option).

The protection of the recordings on the archiving media is carried out by 3 means:

2.8.4 SECURING THE SOLUTION
In order to ensure the security of our solutions, we have chosen the latest generation
technologies and robust industrial equipment that can be easily replaced module by
module.
The equipment is remotely supervised via the web interface. In case of operating
anomalies, alarms are triggered, alerting the supervisor for intervention.
All recording is secured thanks to the redundancy concept that allows damaged files to
be
reconstructed.

REPLAY WITH EXTERNAL SOFTWARE
The Assmann recorder has an embedded public API (Application Programming Interface)
which is the only "software access point / software communication interface" from the
recorder with the outside world to the Assmann Telecom recording solution.
The use of this API allows the user to retrieve recording data that meets certain search
criteria, but also to retrieve the sound from these recordings, as well as to enrich these
recordings with desired data.
Acting only as a means of data retrieval, it leaves its consumer completely free to process
and use the data.
Fully secured, software wishing to connect to this API will have to authenticate itself
correctly before being able to perform actions on it.
In addition, in order to guarantee the simplest possible integration for external systems, this
API is a Web API called "RestFull" which does not imply keeping an active network
connection, as well as guaranteeing a simplified exchange of information.
In order to add an extra level of security, the API communicates with these "clients" via an
HTTPS flow, using a certificate signed by Assmann Telecom. This means that any software
wishing to use this API will need to have received the certificate key from Assmann
Telecom beforehand.

We are constantly looking for the best technical solutions for maximum performance and

obsolescence on the different technical elements (HDD, CPU, Power supply, acquisition

User and Operation and Maintenance trainings.
At the end of the installation, we have prepared a specific training program according to
the detailed schedule below.
The training takes place in your premises or ours or remote at the end of the installation.
The training covers the material and functional aspects of the entire Assmann system. It
allows troubleshooting and maintenance of the system down to the component level.

5 WARRANTY
The equipment is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of validation.
Parts found to be defective during this period will be repaired by us and replaced in a
standard exchange.
In order to ensure a minimum 20-year lifespan for the entire solution that we offer you, we
have chosen for many years within the Assmann Group to reference products and
software that are as long-lasting as possible, both in terms of product quality and in the
follow-up of the proposed references over time.
This guarantee also covers the costs of staff travel, packaging, wrapping and transport of
material required for repair or replacement, whether these operations are carried out at
the place of use of the service or whether we have obtained that the supply is returned to
our premises for this purpose.
Assmann Telecom is fully responsible for the guarantee of the delivered equipment.
The guarantee conditions do not apply in the event of damage not attributable to normal
operation of the equipment.

6 LA MAINTENANCE
The following is a description of the maintenance service.
Parts that are found to be defective during these periods will be returned to us and
replaced in standard exchange.
The maintenance service starts from the date of the expiry of the warranty of the first
equipment supplied under the supply contract.
In order to ensure a minimum 20-year lifespan for the entire solution that we offer you, we
have chosen for many years within the Assmann Group to reference products and
software that are as durable as possible both in terms of product quality and in the
monitoring of the proposed references over time.
For this reason, you will find in our offer high quality industrial server equipment, electronic
equipment for tracked acquisitions, based on standardised supports such as :

The Assmann Telecom Maintenance Service offers Incident Management and its
associated applications, i.e. :

Registration of the Customer's request relating to the Incident encountered.
Any incident for which the Customer requests the intervention of Assmann Télécom,
regardless of its severity, is the subject of a Maintenance Request, recorded in Assmann
Télécom's information system, including the time of recording and the name and
telephone number of the person from the Technical Services and Works Department
requesting the intervention.

The follow-up of these facts is confirmed by a management of stored emails. The basis of
the technical facts is done by managing the archives of communications by time and
temperature classification.
For "critical" and "major" Severity Incidents, the intervention consists of restarting the
equipment with, possibly, replacement of the defective part or implementation of a
workaround.
For the "Minor" Severity, if the resolution of the incident requires an on-site intervention, it
will be carried out during working hours and days, within the deadlines indicated for the
Service.
It is when the maintenance request is registered that a criticality level is assigned to the
Incident encountered. The criteria for assigning an Incident to a criticality level are shown
in the following table.
