Some people think that success is only about luck

Some people think that success is only about luck.
When people talk about achievements work, studying or sports, it is not rare to hear that winners are
winners only thanks to luck, that hard effort doesn’t determine anything. I don’t agree with that. While
luck may play a big role in a success, being able to use it and properly utilize its consequences is even
more important.
First of all, even when presented a lucky opportunity one may lack understanding or experience to
recognize it. Training and education not only expand your knowledge and hone your skills, but also give
you valuable experience, a set of exemplary situations in your memory, to which you can compare any
new situation. For example, even with greatest talent within his hands, uneducated jeweler will not be
able to recognize that one unique gem when inspecting the market, that would transform under his art into
the greatest masterpiece of his life.
Secondly, when you are able to recognize opportunity, or when you were born with special talent, you
will not be able to do much, if you do not know what and how to do with it. Maybe due to this luck or
talent you will have to do less than without it, but effort and discipline is required anyway. For example,
Mozart, despite his greatest innate talent in music, was lazy and lacked ambition. Only through discipline
and hard lessons his talent could bear fruits, and we remember him and listen to his creations even now.
Truly, luck can be very helpful in arranging someone’s success. But only experience and discipline,
ability to recognize and use this luck to its full extent, born from effort and training can help one achieve
true success.
