Inferring Graphic Organizer
You can use this Graphic Organizer with Any
Text. Here is an example of how you can use
it with these passages.
He was really
enjoying what he
was watching
there were toys
and clothes
everywhere
he tried to clean
his room before
his mom walked in
When someone
stares at the TV
they like what
they see..
if toys and clothes
aren’t put away,
it makes the room
messy
He was enjoying
what he was
watching.
Ted was watching TV
instead of cleaning so
now he would be in
trouble if mom
walked in
he knew he would
be in trouble for
not cleaning his
room
his room was
messy
Using this format, you could create an engaging / interactive Anchor Chart.
Using a different color for each item, have students underline
the text and write the missing part in the same color.

bedroom. There were toys and
clothes everywhere. He heard his
mom coming up the stairs. “Oh no!” he
