Assignment 1.2
1. Image of the candle 2 is given below
2. Image of one of the points of second object as projected onto the photosensitive surface
(a) using large aperture in BFP
(b) Using small aperture in BFP
3. We can conclude the followings from the above images,
1. If we use a large aperture at BFP, we will get a disk rather than a point for the candle 2.
So, a blurred image will be seen on the screen.
2. If we use a small aperture at BFP, we are getting a small disk that can be seen almost like a
point and it results into a sharp image on the screen.
Thus, use of the small aperture will increase the depth of field.
