The internet has been hailed as one of the greatest inventions of the modern age; a magical
gateway to information, communication and resources unlike anything we could previously
have dreamed of. Many have claimed that it is the greatest single technological advance for
education, as it opens up opportunities for studying, discovering and learning that were
hitherto unimaginable. But as time goes by and the first generation of students to truly grow
up with modern internet technology from birth reach their teenage years, some have started
to question whether students’ over-reliance on technology could be more of a burden than a
blessing
Technology has advanced by a lot in the past few decades. It has made into
literally every aspect of our life. Sure it is a good thing that technology has
advanced and has made our life a bit easier but technology has gotten to
point that people cant think about living without technology. It has made
people infinitely less social and more introverted Technology is in everything
we do anymore. Most of us get anxiety if our computer crashes or we lose
our cell phone. Even if you think that you’d be fine without your phone,
remember that work requires technology, TV is technology, college requires
technology—it’s everywhere.I, for one, would love it if society could go back
to the good ol’ days of living without technology, and just living off the land,
but I’m a realist so I know that’s not possible.
Situations started worsening when they got more portable and started
replacing basic stuff frm our life. When there used to be limited access to
computers which used to be a luxury back in the way, students would
actually use there time efficiently for knowledge instead of being
sidetracked and watching videos or listening to music. Im not saying that
we students shouldnt use technology. Of course we should use it but we
should use it efficiently and for slight help in our projects. We shouldnt be
completely dependent on the internet to do our work for us. Its the capacity
of the brain that differentiates a normal person from an intelectual.
Increases the brains capacity is very important which we will have to work
for. Just searching up the answers wont help us one bit. The millenials are
considered the greatest generation for developing and improving
technology. Right now we are doing nothing but exploiting their technology
instead of creating and making technology better.
Knowledge is important. But knowledge is useless igF ur not social enough
to share it. Technology completely kills social conversations and makes
students depressed. It has also come to effect our health. People used to
live long lives back in the day but now the average life time is only 60 yrs.
Students have become really unhealthy and they have all sorts of health
issues now. They don’t even get out to shop anymore. They just order it
online.
There is a fine line when it comes to efficiency and dependency. Students
have become waay too dependent on technology and this needs to stop.

Development isnt important. Developement in the right direction without any sideeffects is
important.
