John 7:25-44 Translation 25 Then, some from Jerusalem said, “Isn’t this the man that they desire to kill?” 26 And behold, the was speaking openly, and no one spoke to him. Can it be that the rulers truly know that this is truly the Christ? 27 But this one we know from where he is. But the Christ, when he comes, no one will know from where he is. 28 Then Jesus cried out in the dimple teaching and saying, “You know me, and you know from where I am. And from myself I have not come, but true is the one who sent me, which you do not know. 29 But I know him, because I am from him and he sent me. 30 Then they desired to seize him. And no one put over a hand on him, because. It was not yet come his hour. 31 But many from the multitude believed on him, and said “the Christ, when he is come, will greater signs than these do which this one has done?” 32 The Pharisees listened to the crow murmuring concerning him those things. And the Pharisees and the rulers sent servants in order to seize him. 33 Then Jesus said to them, “Yet a little time I am with you, and I will go away to the one that sent me 34 You will search for me and will not find me. And where I am, you will not be able to go.” 35 Then the Jews said among themselves, “Where this one is going to go that we will not find him? He is not going to the dispersion among the Greeks and teaching the Greeks, is he? 36 What is this word which he speaks, ‘you will search for me and will not find me. And where I am, you will not be able to go’?” 37 In that last day of the festival, the great day, Jesus stood and cried out, saying “If anyone thirsts, come to me and drink. 38 The one that believes on me, according to what the Scripture says, out of his bowels rivers of living waters will flow.” 39 That he said concerning the holy Spirit which the ones that believe in him were about to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet, because Jesus was not yet glorified. 40 Having listened this word, many from the multitude said “this one truly is the prophet”. 41 Others said “this one is the Christ”, but others said “The Christ is not to come from Galilee, is he? 42 Does not the law says that from the descendance of David, and from Bethlehem, the village of from where David was, the Christ is to come? 43 Then it begun a division among the multitude on account of him.
