Answer the following:a) Why should an undisclosed principal be shielded from liability caused by his/her agent?
b) What is the extent of liability of a Del Credere agent in relation to acts expressly undertaken
on behalf of the principal?
c) Digesters Limited agreed to purchase 2 tonnes of processed corn flour from Grinders Mills
Limited. Logistic Pac Limited, a freight company, was consigned to transport the 2 tonnes of
processed corn flour to Digesters Limited. On the high seas, the ship conveying the corn flour
developed engine problems. The captain had no choice but to anchor the ship in a nearby port in
order to save the ship and its crew.
As it was taking too much time to get the ship repaired, the captain of the ship decided to sell the
2 tonnes of processed corn flour to a local company. He then remitted the money to Digesters
Limited who refused to accept it.
