BROKERS
Forest Park FX
The main question I receive is regarding Broker recommendations.
This is one of my pet peeves as I believe there are many brokers out there
with a great looking website claiming to be fully regulated however they are
not, or not to a standard I would expect a broker to be. I am a big believer on
going with a trusted and fully regulated broker. I’ve been burnt before, so I am
talking from experience here. So when it comes to broker selection, no matter
where you live in the world, I strongly suggest that you contact Justin and his
team.
 Forest Park FX is an Introducing Broker.
 You contact them and advise them of your situation and they identify a
suitable broker that they believe will suit your needs.

 This service doesn’t cost you anything at all as Forest Park FX receives
a small percentage of the spread when you place a trade with the
recommended broker.
 There is no increase in spread size or anything like that either.

The advantage to you is that you know it will be a reputable broker and if
there are any issues with the broker, Forest Park FX will deal with them on
your behalf. But that’s not all. There is also a very good chance that you will

BACKTESTING
Soft4FX Forex Simulator
I’ve also had a few questions regarding back testing and how to go about it.
And when I talk about back testing, I’m not referring to the MT4 Strategy
Tester, but more so using a simulator to forward test a trading strategy. Sure
you could use a demo account, but that could take weeks to get the desired
results, especially if testing on a longer time frame.
If you saw my hedging video at https://youtu.be/SPIEh0qUNn0 then you
would have seen my preferred simulator tester in action. It’s funny, as a few
days ago I did receive an email from the Forex Tester 3 people who wanted
me to promote their simulator. I had to knock them back as I am currently
using the Soft4FX Forex Simulator which is the one you see in the video. A
couple of things I like about the Soft4FX product are that:
 It is simply an EA that you load onto your MT4 platform, so it is not
separate software as such.

 It has a one-off fee and very reasonably priced compared to Forex
Tester 3.
 It also gives you the opportunity to download much more accurate price
data from a couple of third party providers at no extra cost. This just
helps with the accuracy of the testing.
 And the main advantage of Soft4FX over Forex Tester 3 is that it works
directly off your MT4 platform and will work with the majority of your
custom indicators without having to convert them to a different
language as you would have to do with Forex Tester 3.
Not all custom indicators are compatible, but a lot of them are, including most
of mine. If you are serious about testing (and you should be) then this is a
great tool for the price and worth having a look at.
TRADE MANAGER
VTC Trade Manager
If you are a more skilled trader and need help managing multiple trades on
MT4, then this is a great piece of software. It has plenty of features and is
very handy at times. This is not something the beginner needs but if you are
serious about trading as a business, then software like this makes a huge
difference.

TRADINGVIEW
TradingView
I’ve just moved over to TradingView to see what all the hype was about.
I can see the advantages of it. It still has some limitations with regards to
broker integration and a few other things I’m still getting used to. But I do like
the fact that it is web based and you can access from any device, and there is
a strong social trading aspect to it. There is a free version which has some
limitations, but may be worth checking out.
COURSES/TRAINING/MENTORING
Day Traders FX
I also receive many queries about trading courses, training as well as
mentoring. While I do try to help where I can, I can’t provide the full
commitment that would be required. However, one guy I know is very good at
this is, Jared Johnson.
I have purchased products from Jared in the past, including his Scanner and
his 15 min Course. I have also watched many of his weekly trading analysis
videos over the last few years, and attended some of his webinars. This guy
knows his stuff and is very easy to follow. He has a great personality and
explains things very well. He does have a free Telegram chat room, but also
a private trading room, where he is very active.
Jared does a great job explaining technical trading and if I was starting out or
looking for a trading coach/mentor, then he would be my man. I do believe he
even offers a free trial, so it may be worth checking out yourself and seeing if
this is something that would suit you.
