The figure shows the outline of a power transmission needed to drive a mixer. There
are two identical fans consuming similar power and rotating at 1430 rpm. The force
analysis shows that the forces applied on the gear tooth are as shown on the figure.
The shaft is supported on two radial bearings. You are REQUIRED TO do the
following
1.
Design the vertical shaft based on the fatigue loadin, assuming that the
selected material is AISI 1040 (Annealed steel).
2.
Draw a free hand sketch of the assembly inside the dotted border.
