Post-Secondary Ambassador Program (PSAP)
Thank you for helping to promote our upcoming PSAP events to post-secondary students.
PSAP is designed to help students meet employers and professionals, give them the skills that
are in-demand, and provide industry insights and practice. As the work environment evolves,
soft skills are crucial to be successful in the world of business and our aim is to give student a
place to develop and use these skills.

SEPTEMBER
CPA Pathways with Welch

 Come and join CPA Ontario at the CityView Drive-In for a night of trivia, getting inspired,
and watching a classic film, Back to the Future! Our first big event this fall will be a
chance to relax and prepare yourself for the upcoming year and learn about all the great
events we have planned.
Financial Literacy: Investing 101 with RBC

Accounting Interview Bootcamp

 The job interview is one of the most important and competitive events you’ll experience.
What will set you apart is whether you can show that you’re more than just an aspiring
accountant; you’re a promising candidate that will grow into a valued critical thinker and
problem solver. In this hands-on bootcamp, Ajay Pangarkar, FCPA, will show you how to
prepare to impress, what will help you leave a good first impression, and role play with
mock-interviews.
How to Excel - Workshop Level 1

 The first workshop in this two-part series will introduce Excel for participants who have
minimal experience with the software. Topics covered: basic functionality, features, and
terminology of the program, as well as importing, organizing, and manipulating data
within the program.

audience with confidence.
The CPA Process: Practical Experience

 Interested in a professional career in business? Want to learn more about the CPA
designation? Join us for Practical Experience webinar to meet with the Practical
Experience team from CPA Ontario. Learn about your co-op and internship experiences
and how they might qualify for pre-exemption. Learn when and how to report your
experience to CPA Ontario and their guidelines. Learn how to determine if a full-time
offer will meet the CPA practical experience requirements and how to plan accordingly.
How to Excel - Workshop Level 2

 The second workshop in the How to Excel series will explore the data summary features
of Excel, including pivot tables, graphs, and basic statistical functions. Participants
should have a basic knowledge of Excel and be comfortable with some independent
investigation of the software.

the importance of having a savings cushion, setting savings goals and budgeting and a
variety of ways to save.
Wellness for Boosting Productivity

 Hosted in conjunction with FreshTalk Wellness, Simple tips to keep moving, keep calm,
and stay nourished no matter what environment you are working in. We will explore the

home office, on the go, or wherever you may be.

CPA Fall Case Competition

analytical skills to solve a real-life problem. But how should you approach a business
case and communicate the solution? Join us for this interactive workshop where
Raymond Leduc, CPA and instructor at Western University shares his expert tips. Then
learn how to participate in CPA Ontario's Think Like a Boss event with $2,000 up for
grabs for the winning team.
PowerBI Workshop: Level 1

 Data Analytics and Data Visualization are one of the fastest growing areas in business
today. Join CPA Ontario and Microsoft learning partner Dimensional Strategies Inc. for a
free 2-hour introductory course on the Power BI tool.
 Attendees will earn a participation certificate and LinkedIn Badge for the Power BI Level
100 workshop.
Emotional Intelligence – Level 1

 Lauren Doty is a certified coach and emotional intelligence expert. In this interactive and
engaging workshop, Lauren will introduce you to the concept of emotional intelligence,
which is increasingly important in the modern workplace for establishing and building
effective relationships. She will also give you an idea of where your EQ may currently
stand and share important EQ competencies every professional should develop.
How to Excel — Workshop Level 3

 The third workshop in the How to Excel series will be bringing together your Excel
knowledge and look at it through the lens of a public practice firm, both from an
assurance and a consulting standpoint. This workshop will benefit individuals looking to
tie together their knowledge from the series with a real world look at practical uses of
excel.
Emotional Intelligence – Level 2

 Now that you're more familiar with the concept of EQ (or were already familiar!), Lauren
will dive deeper into uncovering your emotional intelligence and how to develop your EQ.
Through exercises, scenarios, and concrete strategies, you'll walk away with a solid
understanding of EQ and how you can develop your EQ competencies that matter to you
most.
Financial Literacy: Owning Your Financial Future

 Our third Financial Literacy workshop of the season where students will learn how debt
can pile up and how this can have negative consequences on future financial plans,
understand the difference between good debt and bad debt and the value of having a
good credit rating, learn practical ways to take control of finances and a deep dive into
budgeting and how little purchases really add up!

Wellness for Mindfulness

 Hosted in conjunction with FreshTalk Wellness, we delve into the importance of
mindfulness for busy, working and thriving individuals. Everyone is unique and may find
their mindfulness and self-care strategies come in different shapes and forms. Through
mindfulness exercises, we teach the secrets to being more present and strategies for
awareness – all practical tools for becoming healthier in mind and body.
