All my fellow medical technologists are warm greetings of Happy Holidays to all of us. Change is the only constant in life. According to Benjamin Franklin, the past years, especially 2020 has placed us in a situation where change is inexorable. These changes has challenged our lives in different fronts, physically, financially, emotionally and mentally. Some lost their jobs, lost a friend, have lost relatives, lost loved ones, and some almost lost their homes. But not all changes have adverse effects. Most brings progress and opportunities to people who are willing to change their mindset and embrace change. According to Heraclitus, there is nothing permanent except change, most have develop new skills to increase one's financial capacity. Some becomes aware of the importance of being physically fit. All of us realize the importance of family, relatives and friends. And most of all, we found out that life is not only about material happiness, but mental contentment of still living and learning. As we start new year, hope positivity in a new set of officers. I encourage everyone to let us help support each other for more changes that will come to this new normal. Changes in government policies; changes that will come in the institution we are working; changes in our daily lives; and changes in our society. Our dear PAMET, to all my fellow officers, colleagues, friends, and most of all, to all medical technologists here and abroad. The new normal is the new normal, we cannot change it. We can only embrace it and work together to have a progressive outcomes in our lives in our PAMET. Let me quote from President Joe Biden, “The greatest gift is the ability to forget; to forget the bad things in focus on the good”. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of us.
