Random Sampling
We will use a self-reporting questionnaire to gather data on the factors affecting nursing
students along personal conditions, study habits, home-related aspects, school-related
aspects, teacher-related aspects and socio-economic factors of 3rd year psychology
students in BISU MC.
Statement of the Problem: The factors affecting a student’s academic performance arise from several
reasons. In line with this, this research was conducted to determine the factors that affect the academic
performance of the 3rd year psychology students which may consequently help in the improvement of
the students and teachers alike.
Hypothesis:

H1: There is a huge impact between the student’s socio-economic status and academic
performance.
H2: There is huge impact between the student’s personal conditions and academic
performance.
H3: There is huge impact between the student’s study habits and academic performance.
H4: There is impact between the student’s home-related aspects and academic performance.
H5: There is a huge impact between the student’s school-related aspects academic
performance.
H6: There is a huge impact between the student’s teacher-related aspects and academic
performance.
