Acknowledgement How can i say “thank you” when there are so many people to thank? This book is a thank you to my family, who were powerful role models, and mostly to my mom, who taught me love and kindness. The person most responsible for this book becoming a reality is my sister Blessing Amaka. Introduction Secrets of money Ritual was written for youths to educate and tell expectations they are to get when indulging in Ritual. Alot of youth are pushed to do things they should not when they feel stocked up in life. This is a story of two young men who suffered depression and to satisfy their desires. "And it dawned to me I'm about to embark on a journey, our souls have been sold to the devil". The Life i planned 1 According to Yoko Ono- Life is not a bed of rose. Life is Pain, surviving and achieving one's goal or potential. As kids we wanted to be professionals in things we love. We see an aeroplane we wish to be a pilot. Become a famous actor or actress. When older the plans change and we pursue what the school offer or what life offer. This my life story, sometimes when i think i have the worst experience in life and wish to give up i remember the story of Colonel Harland Sanders the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), failed so many times and didn't give up on life. After years of failures and misfortunes, Sanders finally hit it big. KFC expanded internationally and he sold the company for two million dollars. Despite being overwhelmed by rejection or discouraged by setbacks, i remembered story of Colonel Harland. Fired from multiple jobs, ruined his legal career, was set back by Great Depression, fires and world war II, yet still created on of the greatest fastfood in the world. It was a motivation for me. I'm kwado, my friends call me Aka. All my life i dream't becoming a lawyer and i spent time arguing. I never lost in all my arguments, sometimes my opponents quit by saying "the best answer for a fool is silence. I accept being the fool but i didn't accept losing to you. 2 I was the best student in my debate club in school. I can remember a certain time i refused to join for a competition with another school and my teacher had to plead with my parents to convince me too. I was not too brilliant but i was smart. I made friends who their parents where lawyers and often visited them to chat and argue with their parents. In school when late i had convincing excuses to make you pity me. After my high school, the true colors of life surfaced. My dad had a terrible accident and was in coma for years. Being the only son in a family of four, i was forced to sit and take care of him. I stopped my schooling and all that mattered to me was his life. I can remember the day a doctor walked to me and my mom, he advised us to make the right decision by letting him go and continue with our lives and save money. It was truly the hardest decision to make in life, i boldly said; "i love looking at his face every day, my father won't die. My mother was silent as the woman now look pale and worn out. I can clearly remember her face that day, i pitied her. 3 Few months after the discussion with the doctor, my dad died. He was a strong man. Mr. Justice my father who has been in coma for years opened his eyes, looked at me, smiled as tears ran down his eyes as he finally gave up. I loved him, he was a good man and i wish to have him again in my life. I never knew dad took loans and the only reason the Microfinance bank took over dads business and the agreement was it will be run by them for 25 years before given back to us. I wanted to go back to school but on my first day i felt odd and the classes were no more enjoyable. My old classmates who where now in the university treated me like trash and sometimes embarrass me. I stopped school cause of the shame and joined mom in her provision store. Mom called me few days doing business with her, "kwado, i know how you've suffered in life and you're a man full of perceptive and intelligent. You are stonger than your father and the life you are living now is not what you planned for yourself. I know you kwado, i still see that potentials in you. I want to register you in a training session, nowadays youths who acquire a skill are in great demand. You can do it for the main time. I'll make plans and take you to any country you want when you are through. 4 I followed my mom's advice and i was enrolled in a technical training session. I became my boss favorite cause of my rapport with customers and how i learned fast. Weeks after my registration i was able to fix DVD'S perfectly. Due to my size some declined to patronize me and went for older but they older men referred them to me cause they find some components tiny and couldn't fix it. I didn't give my director all the money i made, i was good but a workman should have a share. In months i became a professional and could deliver 80% of jobs brought to me. My boss feared my learning speed and was surprised how i came to be more perfect and higher in demand than him. Despite that he wished me well, cause the prayer of every father is the progress of their child. I retired from my training session in a year and three months. "You are the best apprentice i have ever had all my life, you didn't just make me happy, you made me proud, Mr. Brown my boss said as he pat my shoulder. He gave me gifts like digital meters, soldering iron and leds. I left my masters place to start my own life. Why Life seems difficult 1
