Explain why and how the potato pieces changed (or didn’t change.) For each type of water, was the
water moving into the potato cells or out of the cells? How can you tell? When you explain what
happened, try to use the terms osmosis, diffusion, cells, and concentration. Also, refer to the structure
of a plant cell (a potato is part of a plant, so it is made up of plant cells.) What role does the large
central vacuole in a plant cell play in what happened in the lab?


List one thing you learned in this lab and describe how it applies to a real-life situation.
Include a list of possible variables or errors in the lab.
Your lab report must be typed. Use Arial, Calibri, or Times New Roman fonts and font size 12.
