activities mainly rely on diesel generators for their
electricity supply to avoid voltage and production drops
caused by blackouts or other electrical problems.
Diesel is very expensive and so it’is often combined
with a photovoltaic system and/or energy storage in
the battery in order to reduce energy costs. However,
losses and inefficiencies occur very often due to a lack
of management of energy flows, thus leading to a
significant increase in costs.
Thanks to SENERGY, Higeco More’s energy management
system, all these energy inefficiencies are eliminated.
The Higeco More GWC datalogger uses advanced
learning algorithms to predict and anticipate the amount
of solar energy and the consumption of the site and
together with the EMS software it is able to optimize
the use of energy and avoid losses. The EMS platform
connects diesel generators, the photovoltaic system,
the electricity grid and any batteries and controls and
manages energy flows based on load and generation
profiles, bringing significant savings both in the cost of
fuel and in the use of energy from the network.
SENERGY ARCHITECTURE
The SENERGY Higeco More solution includes the use
of Higeco More GWC dataloggers associated with the
EMS software that allows remote control and monitoring
of the entire site. The platform is able to control and direct
energy flows according to demand and consumption thus
avoiding waste and making the system more efficient.
Thanks to the versatility and flexibility of both instruments
(GWC and EMS software) the system adapts to every
need ensuring maximum performance.

1. INTEGRATION OF THE PV WITH STORAGES
Senergy is able to manage the storage systems, both
in the systems connected to the network and in the offgrid ones. Its flexibility allows it to adapt to any system
configuration and thus allows immediate economic
savings.
2. INTEGRATION OF THE PV WITH DIESEL
GENERATORS
The Senergy EMS solution provides reactive and reserve
management of power from a photovoltaic inverter and
control of the generator set. In this way, it guarantees
advanced and reliable management of energy flows
also based on the country-specific grid code.
3. PEAK SHAVING AND LOAD LEVELING
Peak shaving and load leveling are the two strategies
applied by Senergy that allow direct savings on costs
and on the use of electricity. Energy is stored when
the cost is low and released when, on the other hand,
electricity demand is expensive. By leveling the load
curve, it is thus possible to achieve a great saving in the
costs in economic electricity bills.
