Report to your Instructor and let them know that you would like to conduct your training on whatever task that you have been assigned and hand them every single bit of paperwork that you have so that they may check it off. This paperwork should include 1. Any handouts that you have made 2. Your DA 2977 DRA that you have filled out correctly 3. Your training outline (this paper) with the STO 21-1 SMCT training task number. Make sure to set up your training environment (props, training aids, get the students in the right place etc.) before you begin. Introduce your topic to your students and tell them a brief overview of what the training will entail. Tell them specifically the TASK, CONDITIONS, and STANDARDS (TCS) and state it work for word. Then brief the risk assessment and you must state Safety considerations, environment (weather and recycling and stewards of the environment) and the security condition (low and unclassified, you must state it. Demonstrate the task and do it 3 times. Once step by step, second a little faster with explanation, last at full speed. Ask the Soldiers if they have any questions and answer them, then you must state the TCS again. Before giving them the opportunity to train and practice conduct PCC of items such as gear and training aids. Have the Soldiers practice and give them active feedback. Then make sure that you are giving attaboys and corrections while they are training. If someone should fail the task, tell them step by step what it was that they did wrong and how to fix it. Once all soldiers have had a few minutes to practice the task, notify them that if there are no other questions, that you will begin the test. State the TCS again and hit on safety. Conduct a PCC of safety and training aids again. Begin the evaluation. Observe the Soldier doing the evaluation silently, give them no feedback until the evaluation is complete. Record your task as a go or no-go (go and no-go are for individual Soldiers, T, P, U is for groups and teams) Determine the Trained, Needs Practice, and Un-trained (TPU) for the whole group and record it. A Before you end the assessment make sure that you tell them that re-training will be held later that day and tell them where. Make sure that you gather up all of the training aids that you used. Conduct a proper AAR with your Soldiers. In the AAR you will review your DD 2977 DRA for any unforeseen risks and then you will note it on the form and then sign it. Tell your Soldiers that they will need to conduct a police call of your training area and then you will announce that you are conducting a final inspection. Then do it. Go to the instructor and give them all of your paperwork again and tell them that you are finished with your training and that you would like to close out the training site. They will say that you are good to go. Then tell them that you are finished. The paperwork should include 1. Outline 2. DD 2977 DRA that is completed and signed. 3. GO/NO-GO sheet and the TPU percentage 4. The AAR notes sheet.
