Preface
This module for Technology and Livelihood Education (Grade 9) is consists
of multiple avenues for learning toward career and busines in life for the young
students. With the curriculum’s focus on the learning outcome, each and every
concept introduced is guided with the development of the necessary skills,
knowledges, and attitudes toward a self-sustaining person in the future.
It has been conceptualized to contribute in the development and
formation of the young students for their career. Each lesson contained in every
chapter is geared toward developing skills in Home Economics, Entrepreneurship,
Industrial Arts and Industrial services. Illustrations are also integrated to help the
learners grasp intended concepts.
The lessons presented should be taken in a prescriptive manner, but
suggestive in nature. Teachers are still the best aid in performing the suggested
activities concerning developmental skills in technology but it is encouraged that
the student seek assistance from the technical people in the locality.
May this module guide the students toward the education they ought to
achieve. May this help them in molding the endless possibilities of related career.
It is hoped that through the use of this module, the students will become selfsustaining and productive citizens of the society in the future.
