Topic: Seeing God Sees God is all powerful, all knowing and presents everywhere at the same time. This truth is unchanging and is the quality that sets God apart from humans. In the Scripture, there are accounts that reveals God’s act of seeing that is so fascinating and deep. In this study, we are going to see God’s seeing as in relation to judgment. LORD saw Just before the flood Genesis 6:5 the Lord saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth, thoughts/intent continually evil. The Lord was so sorry, it grieved his heart. Here God was touched and grieved with what he saw. He saw everything man did during Noah’s time. He saw the state of man inside out. The way we see is different from the way God sees. When God takes a look, his look is accurate. His look is panoramic. His look pinpoints the real problem. His look comes with real solution. When God sees, he sees it all. The Lord Saw Leah and Rachael Genesis 29:31 “And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.” When God saw the home of Jacob and his two wives, He saw Leah was hated and Rachael was loved by Jacob. So God make Rachael barren and opened Leah’s womb to bear children. What does this imply? God is not only inspecting nation but seeing every homes, every individual God sees us all. God take a specific look at the home of Jacob and God knows how to deal with people who we treat badly the way they don’t really deserve. The Lord saw Moses Exodus 3:4 “And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.” God is a very observant God. He never lets those who wanted to see him go. Moses wanted to see God and God revealed himself to him. He called Moses by name. The Lord Saw the Condition of Israel (Exodus 3:7-10) God saw the oppress state of his people. “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt…I know their suffering… I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.” God saw their affliction and oppression. Because he sees their state, he knows the kind of suffering his people goes through. And makes his move (come down) to deliver them. Because God sees our condition he will never leave us struggle for long, he will come down and deliver us.
