Usage Guide
These three handouts allow students to practice categorizing a conflict as internal or external and identifying the
specific type of conflict: person versus self, person versus person, person versus nature, or person versus
society. Each handout reviews the definition and different types of internal and external conflict and provides
five practice scenarios. These handouts could be used for homework, in-class independent practice, or small
group remediation.
