NEEDS
VS
WANTS
Money is not everything, but money is something very important. Beyond the basic
needs, money helps us achieve our life's goals and supports — the things we care
about most deeply — family, education, health care, charity, adventure and fun.

NEEDS VS WANTS
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs –
It is a theory by Abraham Maslow, which
puts forward that people are motivated by
five basic categories of needs: Basic
Physical Needs, Safety and Security,
Belonging and Social Needs, Esteem and
Status, Self-Actualization and Fulfillment.
17 17
Basic Physical Needs –
These refer to basic
physical needs like eating
when you are hungry,
drinking when you are
thirsty and sleeping for
our body to rest.
19 19
Safety Needs–
“Our safety needs are
apparent even early in
childhood, as children
have a need for safe and
predictable environments
and typically react with
fear or anxiety when these
are not met.”
20 20
Belonging and Social Needs –
This need includes
both romantic
relationships as well
as ties to friends and
family members.
21 21
Esteem and Status –
Our esteem needs
involve the desire
to feel good about
ourselves.
22 22
Self Actualization and Fulfillment–
means feeling that
we are doing what
we believe we are
meant to do.
