Engineering Research Project
Each group will be given a specific type of engineering to research. Throughout the research, the
students will need to the following:






Explain what does this field of engineering entail?
Explain why should someone join this field?
Find at least 3 different possible jobs within that field.
o Average income
o Regional location of jobs
o Description of each job
o 3 facts of each job
Make sure all statistics are cited from where you found the.
Videos can be included in the presentation, but should not be the whole presentation.
o Use of 1-2 short videos is allowed.
You will have 3 weeks to work on this.
The presentation part of the project should meet the following:






Presentation length should be between 5-10 minutes.
Professional dress is expected.
Presentation should address:
o Average income
o Regional location of jobs
o Description of each job
o 3 facts of each job
Presentation should be given with some sort of visual aid, whether it be PowerPoint or any
other program that allows you to present information.
Each member of the team MUST participate and present at some point during the group
presentation.
REMINDER: You are trying to inform the class of your specific engineering field. Each group will
have a different engineering field to research.
