Label the levels of economic activity on the pyramid to the right. Give at least one example not used in notes,
of each level.
Label each of the following examples with P (for primary), S (for secondary), T (for tertiary), and Q (for
quaternary) level of economic activity. On the line below, explain your reasoning.

consultants. They help students and teachers with computer problems.

on tanks and is the leader of several soldiers.

3. Mr. Hartman is a farmer. He raises cattle and crops to sell to grocery stores
to be sold as food.

4. Mrs. Shepherd is a barista. She makes drinks and prepares food for tired
customers in need of caffeine.

5. Abraham works in a lumber yard. He cuts trees and turns them into
lumber.

6.Jeff works in a foundry where metal is processed to be turned into furniture
for hospitals. He melts and molds the metal into whatever shape is required
for the project.
Your turn!! Using the lines provided below, make up a scenario. (Hint: You can use real life examples of your
parents/grandparents/siblings.) You must have: A name for your person, a job and job description of your
person’s responsibilities, a classification of your person’s job as primary, secondary, tertiary, or quaternary and a
justification as of WHY the job fits into that level.
