Significant Digits
All known digits plus one uncertain digit are known as
significant digits.
1. Decimal numbers larger than one.
All digits are significant.
2. Decimal numbers less than one.
Ignore initial zeros after the decimal point and count
every digit after.
2. Nondecimal numbers.
Ignore final zeros.
Zeros that indicate the magnitude of the number are not
significant.
