Environmental Science
To better understand the basic information of our Environmental Science class,
this additional/alternative assignment is offered. You will write a 500-to-1000word essay to answer the questions listed below. The essay is required to be
written in complete sentences, with complete thoughts. Grammar and spelling
will be considered part of the grade.
This assignment can be extra credit added to quiz score (max of 8 points) or a
complete replacement of the quiz grade (will be graded at the full 35 points).
• Define Environmental Science, explain all the sciences that work together
to understanding environmental science and why they are important.
• Explain what the environment, the kinds of resources in it, what organisms
use the most and why.
• Name four kinds of pollution, offer real world examples of them, and what
is being done to fix the polluted environments.
• Explain what extinction is, label the four categories leading up to extinction,
and offer examples of animals in each category.
