(Ex: Saw Series) Plot twist – there’s an unexpected situation happened in the story (Ex: twilight) Poetic Justice – the character gains the justice they want Cliffhanger – the story ended abruptly; the reader is the one that will think of how the story ends Flashback – there’s a certain situation or thing that triggers the past Flash forward – what event is possible in happening in the future based on the present situation Foreshadowing – a warning or a hint or clue that something will happen
