RULES OF LABELING A SCIENTIFIC DRAWING Use the following rules for scientific drawings: Draw a straight line with a pencil and a ruler from the part that you want to label. All label lines must end at the same place under each other. Label lines must touch the part of the drawing being labelled. Each label line must be parallel to the bottom of your page. Write the names for each part neatly underneath each other in print and in ink. Labels must be written on the right side of the diagram. Every scientific drawing has to have a heading.
