Compute 1 Mr Comput hkid3wq bjkferwf jkfekwf Computers and Society investigation Today, many companies invest millions of dollars into high tech AI machines in their business models to help monitor and prevent suspicious insider trading, employee thefts, and other mischievous activities both on online and banking platforms. Many times we see how computers can both have their pros and cons in terms of how they affect businesses. They are perfect at monitoring and keeping track of tens of thousands of online posts and banking information simultaneously. While they dont always have a 100% success rate, they are relatively better in spotting criminal behaviour taking place on both platforms than they used to be in the past, such as preventing terrorist groups from having recruiting influence on viewers, to explicit images online. It is much easier, faster, and cheaper to handle than with humans. However, it does come with its fair share of issues, ranging from lack of trust from customers, a high risk data exploitation by large corporations, and false flags on individuals for committing "criminal actions". Many times companies would lose a great amount of customer trust and credibility due to such false flags, subsequently making many customers rather have their money in a safer and less monitored bank. However, the digitalized era isn't stopping anything soon, as more improvements are constantly being made to better their system against sophisticated criminals today. Compute 2 Personally, I strongly believe that computers are the future, and it would be great if many businesses join into the new digitized business model and help make banking and the online environment a safer and better place for anyone. Although the question still left unanswered is how companies would still be able to handle and control the abuse of having an automated banking manager, and how they would go about implementing such strategies without unfair cards being played. However, I believe we still have to be careful that the computers do not monitor and study people's banking and social media usage too closely, as it can be a heavy threat to many people's privacy, making it very easy for other institutions to exploit user's datas. The article "Risks and Benefits of Using AI to Detect Crime" has very parallel instances with The Social network film. For example, when Facebook’s owner Mark Zurkaburg, was easily able to break into Harvard university board email and collect student’s personal photos and data to help him develop his new website ‘Facemash’. Even as sophisticated as the school board’s webpage was, he was still able to exploit and manipulate student’s personal data for a very mischievous scheme.
