Objective:
Determine and estimate the charge and number of electron induced on a piece of paper by
charging the comb / pen and bringing it close to the paper. Use Coulomb’s Law to estimate the
charge.
Instructions:
1. Report should be submitted in printed form with font style “Calibri (Body)”and font size “12”
evenly spaced between the margins.
2. All the tables and graphs must be drawn or plotted in Microsoft Excel/Origin Lab.
3. Report should contain the summary, procedure, results, conclusion and references (If you need
to include anything that is relevant you can add it to report)
4. The report must be of 4 to 7 pages.
6. If any excerpt is taken from somewhere else it should be cited (provide references for
everything).
7. Don’t copy / paste the equations. Equations should be typed by using equation editor.
8. Page 2/2 of this file (containing lab rubrics) must be attached at the end of you report.
