Health Science community problems and proposed solutions
Human being’s body health is a vital aspect for survival. Good health promotes good
living, but some parameters affect healthy living in the community. The parameters even
affect life expectancy. Children born in poor communities have lower life expectancy than
children born in more stable economic communities. Health parameters like age, diet,
physical activities as well as environmental factors, among others, affect good health (Lyu, et
al., n.p). However, the problems affecting health in the community can be reduced and faced
away by providing solutions.
Age is a determinant factor for a health condition; older people have a higher
mortality rate than young people. Body cells age along with the body; the body's immunity
also gets weakened in the aging process (Weyh et al., 622). Weak immunity implicates that
the white blood cells have less prevalence of fighting pathogen in the body, making the
elderly more vulnerable to diseases. In contrast, the younger people have active body cells
with solid immunity, with white blood cells more capable of fighting pathogens. The
nutrition specialist in the hospital department should advise people to eat balanced diet meals
that promote the formation and strengthening of the body cells responsible for fighting the
pathogens.
Environmental factors like climatic conditions also affect good health. People living
in different weather conditions may suffer from different kinds of health risks related to the

habitat environment's condition (Čelić et al., par 2). People living in areas with cold weather
conditions may be exposed to viruses that cause common flu diseases like the seasonal flu
and chest cold. Consequently, people living in desert areas can get health threats related to
dust like lung cancer. Wind always blows in the desert that suspends and resuspends dust
particles in the air. Dust particles with particulate matter more than two micrometers, when
breathed in, can deposit in the thoracic cavity, posing a significant threat to the individual of
getting a disease like cancer, tuberculosis, among others (Andraos and Charlene, n.p). A
perfect remedy for the people living in the desert areas is to take cancer screening regularly
and even go for a tuberculosis vaccine. People living in cold weather conditions should
always put on warm clothes like jackets and even eat a healthy diet to develop a robust
immune system.
A community's economic status is a significant problem affecting the health
condition. People from poor economies may face various challenges with health conditions
(Dalton et al., 37). In case of sickness, they can only get access to middle-class hospitals that
may not give the same treatment. Due to lack of funds, the poor economy people get limited
to the type of treatment they can access. People from a more stable economy have funds and
can manage regular checkups at hospitals and even access better treatment. The government
should introduce a health insurance coverage program that allows everybody, to access better
treatment irrespective of the community's economic level.
The human being lives a better life with good health. Healthy living is deterred by
specific problems like economic status, age, environmental factors, among others. The
problems always affect the access to quality care, cause threat diseases like cancer and
tuberculosis. Controls to the problems including eating a healthy diet, regular checkup at the
hospitals, getting a vaccination against diseases, as well as taking prior individual preventive
measures like wearing warm clothes during the cold season can help solve the health

problem. The responsible bodies should take up the battle and advise the community on
living a healthy life and improving the health department to accommodate every person.
