Operation 6.1.1. Check oil level in oil reservoir for vacuum pump. 6.1.2. Drain condensation catch tanks daily by opening ball valves and draining into a suitable container. 6.1.3. Visually check all aspects of vacuum, make sure all valves are working and in the closed position, check belts for tension, make sure that no hoses are rubbing, everything is tight (no loose bolts, cracked welds etc.). 6.1.4. Attach hoses and lock down cam lock connectors with tie straps or locking pins. 6.1.5. Turn on Rig Vac in the neutral position and check the lubricators, (one drip every two seconds) this is critical to operation. 6.1.6. Engage vacuum by turning handle on the vacuum pump to V. 6.1.7. Open the top valve on the pressure vessel for suction and with the 2” hose already attached perform the task at hand. 6.1.8. When done vacuuming operation, turn off the top valve. Close 2” Valve. 6.1.9. Do Not Overfill Pressure Vessel. 3/4-7/8 full max. 6.1.10. Place the handle on the vacuum pump to N. 6.1.11. Allow vacuum in pressure vessel to bleed off. Watch the gauge. 6.1.12. Make sure discharge hose is secured at point of discharging by use of supplied “goose neck” or other suitable means. 6.1.13. Turn handle on vacuum pump to D to build pressure in pressure vessel. 6.1.14. Open bottom valve on pressure vessel to discharge fluids out of Rig Vac. 6.1.14.1. If discharge hose plugs off, shut bottom valve on pressure vessel. 6.1.14.2. Turn handle on Vacuum pump to N. 6.1.14.3. Allow pressure to bleed off; Watch pressure gauge. 6.1.14.4. Turn handle on vacuum pump to V and allow pressure vessel to build up vacuum. 6.1.14.5. Quickly open and close bottom valve to clear obstruction. 6.1.14.6. No: SOP # 1.46 Page 5 of 5 6.1.15. Once pressure Vessel is empty, repeat above procedures to clear hoses. 6.1.16. Turn handle on vacuum pump to N, 6.1.17. Shut off Rig Vac. 6.2. Service LO/TO# 24 6.2.1. Drain condensation catch tanks daily by turning ball valves and draining into appropriate container 6.2.2. Visually inspect Rig Vac for loose bolts, wing nuts and belt tension 6.2.3. Visually check level of oil in reservoir and keep topped up with 0W30 motor oil. 6.2.4. Keep inside of Rig Vac shack clean. 6.2.5. Clean and keep all Rig Vac attachments in Rig Vac shack after use. 6.2.6. If there are any problems inform your supervisor as soon as possible. 6.3.
