1. Collect your thumb and right forefinger print in the results table
2. Repeat this process for everyone in the class
3. Identify what type of prints they all have and enter it in the table (LL- left
loop, RL-right loop, A-arch, W-whorl)

1. How many loops, arches and whorls do you have?
2. Which is the most common fingerprint type?
3. Which is the least common?
4. Are there any people whose fingerprints are hard to distinguish?
5. How could you tell them apart?

Materials: Brushes, powders, sticky tape
Method:
1. Touch the glass or clean surface; try to leave a good print.
2. Using the powders, brush a small amount on the print.
3. Place a clear piece of sticky tape over the print then remove and stick on
white paper.
4. When finished, give your print to the teacher.
5. You will then using your part A results, try and ID who the prints belong to.
