POLITICS By Merlinda C. Bobis the blind are showing movies in the plaza so the deaf are gathering in the plaza so the mute can debate in the plaza the fate of one beloved nation Plaza is where politicians would go to persuade voters. In the poem Politics by Merlinda C. Bobis, I think the narrator thinks that politicians are the blinds who can’t really see the real problem of the nation, the people are the ones who are just there to gather but not to listen on these politicians. And the mute are the ones who debate, these are the people who are critical on the politicians’ persuasion in the plaza, they are the people who needs to be heard but sadly they are the ones who can’t speak. This poem shows that what happens on the plaza may define the future of the country.
