Day In The LIfe of A Workout Addict written by Duncan, Tyler, Kayson FADE IN: INT. INTERVIEW ROOM. TIME OF DAY UNKNOWN LENNY, sits down as camera crew adjusts the lighting and makes sure the camera is focused. INTERVIEWER (OFF CAMERA) Alright, so let’s just start by stating your name, and what your addiction is. LENNY Oh, what? Okay Um. Hello everyone. My name is Lenny, and uh. I'm addicted to working out. FADE TO BLACK. INTERVIEWER (VOICE OVER) Lenny suffers from a rare addiction of working out. We followed him around for a day, to gain inside the mind of a workout addict. This is what we found. FADE IN: INT. LENNY'S DORM. MORNING. There are weights scattered throughout the room. LENNY,18, tall, brown hair, wakes up from a nights sleep looking groggy He gets out of bed and immediately drops to the floor and starts doing push ups. Afterwards, he looks energized and ready to start the day. INTERVIEWER, sounding confused begins to ask Lenny a few questions CUT TO: INT. INTERVIEW ROOM. TIME OF DAY UNKNOWN INTERVIEWER Do you always start your mornings with push ups? 2. LENNY Yeah. I always get some push ups in before my 9 AM. It gets the blood flowing and prepares me for the day ahead. INTERVIEWER Now, do you always wake up five minutes before your class starts? CUT TO: INT. LENNY'S DORM. AFTERNOON. Camera zooms in on alarm clock. Clock reads 8:55. Lenny looks at clock and notices his class starts soon. CUT TO: INT. INTERVIEW ROOM. TIME OF DAY UNKNOWN LENNY Oh yea thats normal. I like waking up on the later side so it forces me to run to class. There is nothing like breaking a good sweat at 8 am. Lenny proceeds to sprint out the door. He forgets to put on shoes. CUT TO: INT. LIBRARY. AFTERNOON Lenny is studying for his exam when all of the sudden he jumps out of his chair and starts doing jumping jacks CUT TO: INT. INTERVIEW ROOM. TIME OF DAY UNKNOWN LENNY If I do not do at least 100 jumping jacks a day I am just not myself 2. INTERVIEWER (Confused) (MORE) 3. 2. (CONT’D) That is...interesting. Does anyone ever get annoyed by you working out constantly. CUT TO: INT. LIBRARY. AFTERNOON Lenny is doing his jumping jacks in the middle of the library. LENNY (V.O.) No. Not really My friends tell me I have a problem but they are just messing around INTERVIEWER (V.O.) Has it ever came across your mind that maybe you do have a problem? LENNY (V.O.) No. If I had an actual problem I would be doing weird things like not working out. The people who don't exercise, those are the ones with a problem. CUT TO: INT. DORM. EVENING Lenny Lenny alarm doing is playing madden with his roommate BILL. Bill and are engaged in the game when all of the sudden Lenny's clock goes off and he drops to the ground and start sit-ups BILL Touchdown!!!! In your face Lenny LENNY No fair I was in the middle of my workout BILL Maybe you should of paid a little more attention to the game and a little less attention to your workout 4. LENNY Damn. Why does this always happen to me. CUT TO: INT. INTERVIEW ROOM. TIME OF DAY UNKNOWN LENNY Although I'm in denial, I realize that I have a problem. CUT TO: INT. LIBRARY. AFTERNOON Lenny is doing squats on top of a table. Students around carry a confused and disgusted face as they stare at Lenny. CUT TO: INT. INTERVIEW ROOM. TIME OF DAY UNKNOWN LENNY I feel as if that is the first step in getting over an addiction. To recognize that you have a problem, and fix it. FADE TO BLACK. INTERVIEWER (V.O.) There you have it folks. That was a day in the life of workout addict, Lenny. Will he change his ways? Will he cure his addiction? Only time will tell.
