Why Science Is Important For Your Future? What is science? How does a subject contribute so much to the needs of the world? When I was young, I thought that science was only a subject and wouldn’t be implemented outside the classroom, but my prediction was wrong. Science is an important element in our daily life. Our globe has grown greatly as we return to our ancient times. Science played a major role in national development and in socio-economic needs. Every new technology invented is based on science. Science and technology complement one another. For instance, science deals with natural phenomenon and leads to new technologies that facilitate our lives. I can't deny the fact that science has increased the quality of our lives. Not only that, science has helped us to develop in myriad fields in our past. However, science does not only tells us about our past, but also about our future. As we all know, science has contributed a great deal in the medical field. At the time, people did not have treatments for cancer. However, as we are learning today, there is not only one type of cancer, but several types of it. Technology is advanced in medical field as we have discovered treatments for cancer. One example is gene therapy uses our own immune cells which is called T-cells to treat the cancer. As technology advances day by day, more and more viruses and diseases manifest themselves and become more complex. Hence, science and technology are essential for humanity to achieve a healthy and quality life. Moreover, we have been facing a global pandemic for over a year. I believe that science and technology were necessary for scientists to discover the vaccine. Overall, science is extremely important in the health industry to ensure that human health is at an optimum level in the future. Another point is science is vital for space exploration. Some may think space exploration is useless, but in reality it might save your life. Without space programs, we wouldn’t have GPS, satellite systems, and accurate weather prediction. Additionally, there’s also medical research in space that could cure diseases and prolong human lives and these experiments can’t be conducted on Earth. Meanwhile, the population on Earth increases day by day and one day may be overpopulated. Human beings will have difficulty surviving, as there will be shortages of food and water. In addition, our species could be destroyed, if asteroids or comets strike Earth from nowhere one day. Space science is crucial for humans to find a backup plan or in simple words another “Earth”. Perhaps a scientist will discover a planet similar to the Earth that is habitable for human beings in the future. By this, humanity will survive no matter what happens to the Earth and will not be extinguished. Our globe is connected with telecommunications and technology. Science has been so improvised since then. More than half the human population depends on their devices. Well, we probably wouldn't have a phone if Alexander Graham Bell hadn't invented the first practical telephone. In fact, most of our important and personal items are stored in our phones. None of them would have been possible if science had never existed in the first place. Telecommunications has grown considerably as our world changes. Adults and students can complete their work that is within their reach. This mainly allows students to study efficiently For example, 5G and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are the latest and most advanced technologies discovered in the telecommunications industry. Generally, I wouldn't be surprised if students used holographic technology in school instead of books in the future, as advanced technology is implemented in all aspects of life. On the other hand, scientific and technological progress had a major impact on the agricultural industry. Our ancestors have worked so hard under the sun to plant seeds in the field. Animals such as cows and buffalos were used to plow the field. Consequently, a massive amount of labour was needed to increase the quantity of crops and production. However, today agriculture uses sophisticated technologies to increase efficiency and also production. Science in agriculture has begun when farmers use agriculture machinery to ease their job. Today, farmers use the latest innovations such as GIS software, GPS software, satellite imagery, drones and other aerial imagery. As a result, farmer has been able to produce more food for the growing human population. Using advanced technology, major natural resources can be reduced in smaller amounts that help preserve the ecosystem. Alternatively, people living in the city can also plant in their home using the hydroponic technique. This technique is suitable for people in the city as it doesn’t require a medium such as soil and its very convenient. To sum it all up, science generates solutions for everyday life and helps us solve the greatest mysteries of the universe. Humanity wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for science. Today, science has created a society that can excel well in TIMMS and STEM. In fact, today, science influences so many different things that trying to list them all would mean that this page could go on forever. Even though science has advantages, it also has its own disadvantages. Science must be used by the right person and must not fall into the wrong hands. Conversely, technology does not end here and I think it would continue to evolve as time changes. In particular, science is crucial for our future because it has many benefits for humans in many aspects. Science has made life better and more comfortable for us. It has facilitated our lives and now it is almost impossible to live without using them. It is not surprising that robots will replace the human source in 20 years. Not only for me, science will be important to most of them in the future, as they will all be more technologydependent.
