1. What is Computer?
 A Computer is an electronic device which accept data and instructions,
process the data according to the instructions, stores the data and output
the results of those operation. It can process both numerical and nonnumerical (arithimetic and logical) calculation. It has the ability to operate
at an incredibly high speed. It is a device which is fast, accurate, versatile,
diligent and automatic.
2. What is Data?
 Data refer to raw facts and figures that can be processed or
manipulated by a computer. It can be in any form-raw facts on
paper or in electronic form. It includes words, numbers, images
and sound. In simple word, Data is the word, number, sound and
pictures which are entered into the computer by input devices.
3. What is Information?
Data when processed become information. Information is
anything that holds some values for its receiver. Information is
also referred to as Processed data on which decisions and
actions are based.
4. Why Computer is called programable
machine?
Computer is called Programable machine as it responds to a
specific set of instructions in a well-defined manner and it can
execute a prerecorded list of instructions(a program).
5. Computer is Versatile machine. Why?
A Computer is a versatile machine. It can be used for performing
different types of tasks in almost all fields such as education,
communication, business, etc. It can carry out processes ranging
from simple mathematical calculations to highly complex and
logical evaluations for any extended period of time. It can be
used to solve the problems related to various field. At one
instance, it may be solving a complex scientific problem and the
very next moment it may be playing a card games. It can do
diverse nature of works like calculations, graphics work,
searching etc at the same time. So due to all of these quality of
computer, computer is a Versatile machine.
