As someone who has hopes of creating my own clothing company, which will
heavily utilise the marketing of social media, the chance to gain an insight
through experience within this industry is something that excites me. An
industry that i wish to be a part of, so therefore want to learn more about. Many
of my friends are micro influencers online, giving me a community from which i
can extract some observational knowledge from this world. Studying
anthropology has given me the skill and technique of analysing the data of social
behaviour, understanding potential moods & motivations of consumer groups.
Since graduating i have gone back to working in kitchens, which hasn't been the
most fulfilling use of my time, so i am eager to be challenged and learn new
things whilst in this current predicament.
I have participated in a few business seminars on digital marketing and content
creation. However, i feel i learn better through experience so this opportunity
would be extremely beneficial for me.
I have studied art most of my life so have a keen understanding of aesthetics and
design. Also being part of the internet generation, affective online presentation
seems second nature.
As mentioned, studying Anthropology has given me a broad understanding of
social behaviours and the tools to be able to analyse the data. During my degree, i
was particularly interested in business and consumer behaviour.
