Activities Conducted Pre-implementation Phase o Checked the learners’ performance in the first and second quarter together with their returned self-learning modules, answer sheets and performance task. o Identified the students who need improvements and enhancements, and those who only need to complete their missed activities and performance tasks. o Conducted a small group discussion regarding the approach in the delivery of the bridging activities. o Conducted a meeting with the General PTA officers to ask for their assistance. Implementation Phase o Informed the parents of the students about their performance in the first and second quarter. The students who got fairly satisfactory grade were given remedial learning activities to cover least mastered competencies. The students who got satisfactory grades were given activity sheets and other resources for them to continue learning during the two-week break. o For the students who are residing beside the school premises, their parents were asked to claim some learning activity sheets and other tasks given by their subject teacher. o For the students who are residing in the far-flung areas, home visitation was being done by their class advisers. o Conducted a phone conference with the parents to monitor the performance of the learners. o Provided feedback regarding with their assessment results and grades to give guidance for improvements for the low performing students. Post-implementation Phase o Collected and checked all the learners’ output. o Checked through phone conference if the revised and modified activities were effective towards the improvement of the improvement of the learner’s performance and engagement. o Observed and examined learner’s enhancements with their learning after the implementation of the program. o Submitted report to the school area coordinator regarding the performance of the students. o Conducted a post-implementation conference with the teachers to discuss some possible strategies to be conducted in the succeeding quarters. 2. Impact of the Bridging Activity to the Learners Enhanced learners’ performance in the different subject areas. Some learners were able to comply their missed written works and performance tasks. Because of the communication given by the adviser and the subject teachers, and the consideration given for them to comply their missed activities, the learners and their parents realized that pursuing education is important despite the different challenges posed by this pandemic. 3. Also, it is important to properly schedule the activities to avoid stress in complying and submitting the reports. Thus, teachers’ mental health should also be considered. 5. Appendices Pre-Implementation Phase A faculty meeting was conducted as part of the pre-implementation phase wherein parts of the discussion were the issues and concerns regarding the performance of the learners in the first and second quarter and the conduct of bridging activities. Another meeting was conducted to ask for the GPTA officers’ assistance in the conduct of the bridging activities, and in the different school programs and projects. Post-Implementation Phase A post-implementation virtual faculty meeting was being done as part of the Midyear INSET. Part of the discussion is the update regarding the students’ performance and the issues and concerns in the conduct of the bridging of activities. Also, the possible strategies to be conducted in the succeeding quarters was also discussed.
