Phase Two: Title: Speaking and Listening Assessment: Room 101 What is Room 101? Room 101 was created by George Orwell in his novella 1984. It is a room where a person’s greatest fears are used to torture and control them. (Nice eh?) Model Response If there is 1 thing I would love to banish to the deep dark depths of Room 101 it has to be ugly feet! These deformed monstrosities are on show practically everywhere I go: on the beach on holiday; oozing out of ill-fitting sandals in the summer and, worst of all, splashing about and contaminating the water at my local public pool. Now I know that feet are very important appendages as without them we would find walking a bit difficult. However, if you have in-growing toe-nails and hard flaky skin perhaps you should keep them hidden away? I would even actively advocate the wearing of socks with sandals if it means that these foul feet are hidden away forever… Phase 3: Demonstrate Create a mind map of items you hate.
