2.0 ENVIROMENTAL FACTOR ON JOB SASTIFICATION The main purpose of this work is to determine the impact of environmental factors on job satisfaction. Due to the dynamic nature of the environment, the automotive trade in Malaysia faces many challenges. One of the challenges is to allow its employees to adapt to the ever-changing and evolving environment and achieve success and remain in competition. To improve employee efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and work commitment, the company must meet the needs of employees by providing good working conditions. Job satisfaction means having a good or positive attitude or feeling about the job. It is defined as the amount of the overall positive impact that individuals have on their work. Job satisfaction occurs when an employee feels that they are experiencing job stability, career advancement, and a comfortable life balance. Job satisfaction is an important approach to work in organizational behaviour and contributes to the wellbeing of employees. People with high job satisfaction experience pleasant or positive emotions when they think about their duties. Money is not always the main reason for job satisfaction. The environmental factor is one of the factors that can influence job satisfaction. The most important evidence pointing to the deteriorating conditions of the organization is the low level of job satisfaction. Thus, job satisfaction is the key to creating a healthy organizational environment in the organization. A work environment is the social features, and physical conditions in which we perform the job. The working environment can consist of physical conditions such as the temperature of the workplace or equipment. It is much more difficult to do a good job in a bad environment than in a good one. A positive work environment is not only important to our physical, mental, and emotional health, but is also important to the product or service we produce for the company. The work environment effect on employee productivity. The importance of the work environment is a determinant of productivity and helps employees to focus properly on their duties. An unhealthy work environment makes employees tend to experience mental and physical health problems, including stress, anxiety, depression, and more negative outcomes. In summary, a better working environment will lead to greater job satisfaction. A good, comfortable, and safe work environment is important for job satisfaction. If the working environment is in poor condition, such as heat and noisy surroundings, it will make it difficult for workers to get the job done. The work of a mechanic in the automotive industry is not only about repairing a few cars. Employees have to spend long hours at the workplace. Mechanics work in often greasy and dirty environments. Tools and large vehicles can also cause noise in the surroundings. If the working environment is in poor condition, such as heat and noisy surroundings, it will make it difficult for workers to get the job done. Aspects of work such as heat, noise and lighting have been shown to influence several psychological processes both directly and indirectly. For example, noise can impair cognition in some types of work. Research will be conducted on Industrial Automotive in Malaysia which is Honda Malaysia Sdn.
