Caesar for President! Imagine there are two students running for Class President. The opponents are Julius Caesar and Augustus Caesar. They share the same qualities and ideas for improvements as their Roman ruler namesakes. The Task: You have been hired to help with their campaign! Here are your candidate assignments: 1st & 5th Period - Julius Caesar 4th & 6th Period - Augustus Caesar Step 1 - .Answer Questions on Slide 2 and begin research on your assigned candidate. Step 2 - Write your candidate’s speech. You have been chosen to write a speech for your candidate to give to the whole student body before the election. Please write a speech of at least 200 words. The speech must include the following: 1. Three ways you would improve the school of “Rome” (*HINT* look at what you did as a ruler of Rome) 2. Use at least four tools of propaganda in your speech, one of which must be appropriate name calling. 3. At the bottom of your speech paper, write down the four tools you used and highlight the text of where you used them in your speech using different colors Step 3 - Record a FlipGrid: Record a flipgrid of you performing the speech you wrote for your candidate. Step 4 - Respond to your Opponent’s Team - You must respond to at least one of your opponent’s speeches countering their information.
