Lifetime Capacitor 10-Kelvin rule from Arhenius law
where
L2: Test time in hours
L1: Projected life expectancy in hours
T1: Test temperature applied
T2: Temperature at which the life is projected
b : 10 for organic substance
This rule predicts the organic polymers that every 10°C increase
in application temperature over test result in half in the life.
Voltage Power Law
where
L1: Test time in hours
L2: Projected life expectancy in hours
V1: Test voltage applied
V2: Voltage at which the life is projected
n : voltage stress ratio
n=2, 0.25Vmax < V < 0.50 Vmax
n=3, 0.50Vmax < V < 1.00 Vmax
n=5, 1.00Vmax < V < 1.40 Vmax
