Introduction
This report outlines the information of the study conducted by the National Pharmaceutical Corporation on the
causes and effects of Chronic Hives in the human body. According to the NCBI, Chronic Hives have affected 20%
of the American population. For the expert medical workers to gather facts, a series of tests, including drug tests,
and heat and cold exposure, were conducted.
Methodology
Materials
The primary resources used for this study were two (2) persons with Chronic Hives, antihistamine drugs, blood
work, and a survey
Procedure
The volunteers were prepared and kept safe one week before the tests to prevent complications. Each volunteer’s
part of the body was exposed to mild heat temperature for 5 minutes and cold condition for 10 minutes. A blood
test was also conducted on the same day. After that, the medical worker monitored the body to check for hives
occurrence.

Findings
Below outlines the ndings based on the experiment and observation conducted:
1. On Volunteer A, the hives occurred 30 minutes after exposed mild heat but did not occur when exposed to
cold. A breathing problem was also observed during the monitoring.
2. On Volunteer B, both hives occurred 2-3 minutes after the exposure to both heat and cold. The volunteer was
given an antihistamine drug, which took effect 1 hour after it was taken.
Conclusion
According to the ndings, hives can appear in the body once exposed to cold or heat. However, each human body
is different. Therefore, hives can be triggered by either cold or humid temperatures. An antihistamine drug can
ease the swelling and itching one hour after intake.
Recommendations
The following were recommendations are based on the tests conducted:
1. Perform a blood test and microscopic observation to understand hives’ nature.
2. Check existing allergic conditions.
