Research Question/s Description Teenage Pregnancy in Cambodia In Cambodia, the arranged married still happens in all around the state’s especially the rural area due to the family situation, customary, and the lack of the education. That are the reason why the teenage Pregnancy happen in Cambodia. According to Civil Code Book 7 Article. 948 “Marriageable age” Neither men nor women may marry until they have reached the age of 18. However, should one of the parties have attained the age of majority and the other party be a minor at least 16 years of age, the parties may marry with the consent of the parental authority holders or guardian of the minor. This article can describe that citizen can get married at the age of 18 but if there are the acceptance from the parent 16 is OK. Whether we have the law to control of this case but sometimes it is useless. According to Prof. Dr, Ek Mengly (Gynecologist and Obstetrician) said that the age of married for women should be 25 and give the birth in next 2 years because there wouldn’t be any risky for women especially their career. This research topic is still the hot issue in the developing country and everyone should aware of it. The 2014 Cambodian Demographic and Health Survey (CDHS) reported a sudden increase in teenage fertility rates, raising concern for the health of young Cambodian women and their babies. The CDHS findings showed that while age-specific fertility rates have consistently declined for 15-19-year-olds, fertility jumped from 46 children per 1,000 women in 2010 to 57 children per 1,000 women in 2014. Teenage pregnancy in Cambodia has increased by 50 percent in the past four years, according to a report by Save the Children. The increase rate of fertilized would make the matter for the society. Significances in this research is brought to you the rate of the teenage pregnancy in Cambodia. Especially, the limitation of the law to control on the issue. The purpose of this research is to ensure that there would have the institution which has the authority to control the issue. I hope teenager would have the better education and occupation for having a better life before married and having the pregnant. What is the effect of teenage pregnancy? What should we do in order to cut down the rate? Is Education the main reason to decrease the fertilized rate? What policy should the Royal Government have to prevent underage marriages? Is forcing a child to marry at a young age guilty? Research Proposal outline 7. Research Methodologies Theory 8. 9. Tentative Outline of Thesis/Report 10. Research Scope and Limitation 11.
