Photosynthesis Design Experiment Observation: I have observed that plants can die with too much water Question: Which amount of water will be the best for my plants Research: I am researching which amount of water will be best for my plant. The first source that I am using is HomeGuide.com, and they said I have to water my plants frequently depending on the weather. My second source is Insider.com, and they said I have to make sure I don't over water my plants or they will die. Description: I have started on my plants a few days ago. Sadly they can't get that much sunlight because we couldn't open the blinds but today can open them. All of the plants have been getting different amount of water. one 1 cup, one 2 cups, one 3 cups, and one 4 cups. That is all I have done right now. This is graph of how much my plants have grown. The purpose of this lab was to see if the amount of water would affect the plants growth. It affected the plants growth but not by alot because as you can see on the chart, One cup and Two cups had almost the same amount of growth. What I did in this expirament was that i got 4 plants and gave each of them different amounts of water. I watered them every day but sometimes I forgot to water them but luckily they survived. Another error that I made is that the plant were barely getting any sunlight on the first few days of the expirament. Here is the list of objects i used for this expirament. 4 plant pots 1 pack of windflower seeds 1 bag of dirt 1 measuring cup 1 ruler This is the amount of water I gave to each plant. Plant #1 : 1 cup Plant #2: 2 cups Plant #3: 3 cups Plant #4: 4 cups The question that I have now are that what if I watered my plants everyday and didnt forget? I bet the plants would grow faster and I would get better results.
