This lesson helps you master the importance of
planting and propagating trees and fruit-bearing
trees and marketing seedlings.
 Explain the benefits derived from planting and
propagating trees and
fruit-bearing trees to the families and
communities
 Name some successful orchard growers in the
community or adjacent communities.
Read this!
Trees are erect plants with single woody
stem capable of reaching a height of 20-25 feet
upon reaching maturity. It is important to man
because it helps maintain ecological balance
which is a give- and- take relationship-mankind
such as: gives off carbon dioxide which trees
take in to produce oxygen, it gives valuable
products and amenities to the family and
community and maintain a healthy environment.
Having the skills in planting trees means
knowing the scientific ways of
planting, propagating and caring for trees
especially now a days.
 Do Learning task 5 on page 20 of your
module. Do it on your notebook.
 Do Learning task 6 on page 21 by
answering the given questions. Do it on your
notebook.
 Read and understand the paragraphs on pp.
6-11 and pp. 13-16 that indicate the
concepts about planting and propagating
trees.
 Do Learning task 7 on page 22. Write it on
your notebook.
